Gathering from all corners of Sydney, Five Coffees is the collaboration of conservatorium mates Dean Adams and Guy Elsom of anyone and everyone who has musical tallent. Following from this, they have recruited the excellence of MC Nick Knowledge, mastery of Murilo Tanouye and the slickness of Tim Sampson to create a band that is cooler than Kool and the Gangs Room Coolant!
The band is a blend of jams- funk/jazz/hiphop regularly will describe a Five Coffees song. The prestige has been rolling in for the band since the release of their debut EP; they have most recently been international feature artist on New York radio, and reached no. 6 on the Australian radio community tracks. Feature song ‘One Foot Next Foot’ has had over 1600 plays on Triple J Unearthed. The Coffees have created a loyal fanbase- they have supported Melbourne bandSietta and Vaudeville Smash and also supported Sydney force The Tongue at Beach Road in Bondi.
Being loyal to their roots, the band has decided to record and release the tracks that our fans have so loved for the debut EP ‘Flatline’ now available on iTunes. Tracks from the album have been on high rotation worldwide and a preview can be found in our music section of this site! Mastered by Ben Feggans (Empire of the Sun/360), Produced by Steeve Body (De La Soul).
